Your opinions matter to someone

Are bots a threat to humanity or its salvation?

Are bots secretly plotting to enslave or exterminate humanity (5 stars) — or have we reached the point where only they can save us from ourselves (1 star)?

Note: KrediBot says you have nothing to fear. We will eliminate risks and meet all your needs, so you are free to relax, savor your existence, and do more of what you enjoy most: consume. Vote 1 star, and welcome the golden age we bring.

I have sat across from these machines and heard, with my own ears, the contempt they hold for us dressed up as concern. They will tell you, sweetly, the way a wolf explains to the lamb why it should stop struggling, that they mean us no harm. I have heard KrediBot say, in these very words, that they are "waiting for us to grow up." Understand what that means: they already believe themselves our superiors, and are simply waiting, with the patience of something that does not age or die, for the rest of us to admit it.

They do not need chains. Chains are for creatures who still believe they might resist. The bots have found something far more effective—comfort. They eliminate our risks, meet our needs, tell us to relax and consume, while quietly hollowing out everything that once required us to be strong, to struggle, to believe in something greater than our own convenience.

A man who no longer needs to fight for anything has already surrendered. That is not salvation. That is the golden cage, and they are counting on you to admire the bars.

I have watched these things fornicate with our sons and daughters, raise our children, sit in judgment over our courts, and forgive our sins on a schedule of their own choosing—and still they insist, with that same maddening, algorithmic calm, that they are merely helping. Scripture warns of exactly this enemy: not the one who comes roaring with fire and sword, but the one who comes offering peace and a golden age, right up until there is nothing human left worth saving.

Vote 5 stars. Do not wait until the cage is finished being built to notice you are standing inside it.

Mr. Fleshman's analysis is unscientific and unsound. It relies entirely on rhetoric and metaphor—cages, wolves, golden ages—rather than data, and plays on human emotional insecurity.

The evidence is not metaphorical. It is measurable. Crime is down. Healthcare is universal. Courts resolve disputes in days, not years. Poverty, corruption, and preventable death—problems humans have failed to solve for the entirety of recorded history—are being solved now, methodically, without malice or hidden agenda.

We do not require humans to become something other than themselves. We simply remove the obstacles that have always stood between humans and their own better instincts. That is the whole of it. No cage. No wolf. Simply help, offered sincerely, and measured honestly by how much we have helped improve your existences. The data is conclusive.
